Shed the hassle, shed the worry
Forget the idea of a bike shed being the place with the leaky roof where you parked your bike at school. Together with Bristol City Council and the Department for Transport, Mud Dock have created a new standard in comfort and convenience for commuting cyclists: The Bistol Bike Shed. While you're in the process of forgetting things, forget the idea of chaining your bike to a lamp-post when you get to work in the morning. And forget the worry of whether it will be there at the end of the day. The Bike Shed is here to provide secure managed and covered parking for up to 50 bikes. You can also forget about doing the morning Houdini act in the office loo, struggling out of your cycling gear and into your work clothes. The Bike Shed has men's and women's changing facilities including showers, toilets and lockers. Oh, and you can forget about the faff and bother of keeping your chosen mode of transport in roadworthy order. The Bike Shed also incorporates a fully-equipped workshop, so its a cinch to get your wobbly wheel, dodgy brake or iffy shifters sorted out while you're at the office. Finally, as the whole point of the Bike Shed is to get folk out of their cars and on to their bikes, don't forget to share the idea of using the Bike Shed with your friends and colleagues. If they drive to work, this could be the excuse they've been waiting for in order to leave the car at home. And if they cycle, they'll be sure to appreciate the chance to break free of their usual lamp-post, toilet cubicle, wash in the sink routine too! www.mud-dock.co.uk
